Sunday is our traditional day of worship. We have two Sunday worship services. One begins at 8:30 and the other at 10:30. Both services follow the worship liturgy provided in the Book of Common Prayer (BCP), which you can find in any pew. We also use the Hymnal 1982 and the Holy Bible for our worship music and scripture readings. All of our liturgy and scripture readings are printed in our bulletins. Our 8:30 service is quiet, contemplative and uses the more formal language of the BCP’s Rite I liturgy. Our 10:30 service is enriched by our organ, piano and choir and uses the more modern language of the BCP’s Rite II liturgy. We stream our 10:30 service live on our Facebook page as well.

The Holy Eucharist (also called Communion and the Lord’s Supper) is the principal act of worship at our church. All baptized people are invited to receive Communion, regardless of age or faith background. If you do not wish to receive Communion, you may still come forward to the altar to receive a blessing; just cross your arms over your chest to indicate your choice to receive only a blessing.
Children of all ages are welcome in our worship services. Books, drawing paper and coloring pencils are available on the table at the rear of the Nave. Parents and grandparents should feel comfortable keeping their little ones with them during worship. If you prefer nursery care, our ushers will be happy to direct you to our nursery room when you arrive. Nursery care, led by one staff person and at least one volunteer, is available for infants and toddlers during the second worship service, which begins at 10:30.
Dress for worship varies. You’ll see ties and dresses, jeans and shirts. Wear what you feel is appropriate.
Parking is available in the lots behind the church and along Marion Avenue. If you park in the lot directly behind the church, you may wish to enter through the double doors found under the porte cochere. Entry there will take you into our main gathering space. From there you should walk toward our central courtyard, which is visible from the gathering space. Pass through the courtyard to our covered breezeway, which will lead you to the entrance to our worship space. You also may use the main entrance under the bell tower that faces South Main Street. Handicapped access is through the covered breezeway that connects to the southern-most section of our parking lot. Please call us if you need assistance.

Outside Worship & Prayer Garden
Resurrection is truly blessed to have a beautiful and expansive green space located along Marion Avenue, right behind the church buildings. This lovely area is known as Marion Avenue Community Park. Over the years, several dedicated parish members have lovingly and thoughtfully created a serene prayer garden within the park, making it a peaceful place for reflection and meditation. We also regularly hold outdoor worship services in this welcoming and natural setting, allowing the community to connect with both faith and nature.
Thanks to the generous support and kindness of several donors, the park now proudly features an outdoor worship altar, a thoughtfully designed prayer labyrinth, picnic tables for fellowship and relaxation, and a well-maintained playground for children to enjoy.
